Terms & Conditions

A legal disclaimer

By placing an order with Veekay Playing Cards Co. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), the Buyer agrees to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Order Acceptance and MOQ:

  • All orders are subject to the Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) specified at the time of the quote.

  • An order is considered "accepted" only upon written confirmation by the Company and receipt of the required advance payment.

  • The Company reserves the right to refuse any order that contains artwork violating intellectual property rights or local laws.

2. Custom Artwork and Proofing:

  • Approval: For custom decks (Poker, Bridge, or Mahjong), the Buyer is responsible for final proofreading. The Company is not liable for errors (typos, color shifts, or layout issues) in artwork approved by the Buyer.

  • Copyright: The Buyer warrants they own the rights to all artwork submitted. The Buyer agrees to indemnify the Company against any third-party intellectual property claims.

3. Manufacturing Defects and Quality:

  • Tolerance: Due to the nature of industrial printing and cutting, a marginal variance in color (Delta E) and cutting alignment (up to 1.5mm) is considered within industry standards and not a manufacturing defect.

  • Reporting: Any claims regarding manufacturing defects (e.g., warped PVC cards, delaminated paper, or missing cards) must be reported in writing within 7 days of delivery.

  • Remedy: If a defect is verified, the Company’s liability is limited to the replacement of the defective units or a proportional refund. The Company is not liable for any consequential losses or "loss of profit" due to defective goods.

4. Shipping and Liability:

  • Delivery Terms: Unless otherwise stated, all goods are shipped Ex-Works (EXW) from our facility in Thane.

  • Risk of Loss: Risk passes to the Buyer as soon as the goods are handed over to the third-party carrier.

  • Transit Damage: The Company is not responsible for delays or damages caused by the shipping carrier, customs inspections, or "Acts of God." We strongly recommend the Buyer secures transit insurance for high-value bulk orders.

5. Payment Terms:

  • Standard terms require a 50% advance payment to begin production, with the remaining 50% balance due prior to dispatch.

  • Delayed payments may result in production holds and revised delivery timelines.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

  • These terms are governed by the laws of India.

  • Any disputes arising from transactions with the Company shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Thane, Maharashtra.
